Wonderful Place to Stay

I don’t even know where to begin reviewing this wonderful place. The location is stellar being right on lake. The attention to detail rivals some of the finer hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms are super clean and are comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful, and takes great pride in keeping up with everything. The pictures online look great but wait til you see it in person. They thought of everything, down to commercial grills with all grilling tools provided. There are multiple lounging spots with fire pits, the one overlooking the lake is amazing. They have kayaks and paddle boards that are free to sign out. The heated pool is also really nice. We’ve stayed in a lot of places and this motel really blew us away.

Early fall getaway to Lake George & Stay at The Lake Motel was Amazing.

Upon arrival we were met with the a smile. Instantly put at ease, given the time of year and the fact that the hotel was not to full capacity we were afforded the opportunity to choose our room location given its availability for our stay. That is most time a is unheard of. The staff was very very polite and Respectful.

Also knowledge of the area to answer our questions on what to do for fun and explore the mountains. The rooms were spacious enough for a couple as we were just there for us but would also be good for two kids to join too. The Lake view was AMAZING! Access to with the free kayaks, and the dock and deck with the fire pits at night looking at the star filled sky. Pool, BBQ and hospitality. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!

Thank you to all the staff and management for a wonderful vacation, we will definitely return next year. I whole heatedly will recommend to all my friends/family and anyone who I hear is visiting Lake George to stay at The Lake Motel.

Firemens Convention

As always we had our favorite room and a splendid time up at the lake. This year the rooms were updated more with coffee makers ad different furniture, which makes my life easier as now that’s one less thing for me (ok my husband) to pack. I think this motel is the best in Lake George and of course every time we talk about Lake George, I always highly recommend staying at the Lake Motel. Everything is always clean and well maintained. The rooms are impeccable. The staff always goes up and beyond to make your stay a memorable one. Marilyn and Edgedre are my sweethearts! Always love chatting with them to find out what is new up at the lake. Steve, the owner, is always building something different every year to make your stay even better although I don’t know if it can get any better than excellent! I cannot say enough about this wonderful motel. We look forward to coming here every year. Its just so calm and relaxing.

Well until next year, I will say good bye, even if its temporary. We look forward to coming back and seeing every one.

Great Place!

I just got back home to Maine after staying 3 days at this place what a great place to stay this is my second time staying there! Very clean beautiful rooms and grounds the girls that were there cleaning the rooms were great I had a fun time talking to them when I had a chance there was one young blonde girl from Lithuania that was so nice to talk to on her way by when she was working she was so willing to clean my room I hope she got the tip I left in the room because she deserved it I was in room 8 from the 23rd to the 26th! I will stay there again some time if I can make it out there in the future! Thanks again!

Charming and Relaxing!

My family feels very lucky to have found the charming little Lake Motel. The view was spectacular, the room and outdoor spaces were spotless and comfortable, and the customer service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We loved the pool-side s’mores and root beer float bar. Everything was excellent!

A+ in Every Way

There are so many positives I don’t know where to begin. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming: it felt like leaving family behind when our vacation ended. They are very helpful (especially Milich) and many have local knowledge that you can’t find in any guide book or flyer. The pool is clean and well stocked with towels; kayaks and boat are easy to reserve and in good condition (*can’t say the same for the neighboring motel, as we rescued one of their stranded kayakers); spacious rooms that do a pretty good job at keeping any/all noise out; and fun nightly activities on the property. It’s a great place to stay and we can’t wait to get back there next summer.

Great Staff and Great Time

This was our third year at the Lake Motel. Every year, my husband and I see improvements to the property and new events set up by the staff.

This year there was a problem with our room due to less than careful folks who stayed in the room before us. Within one hour of our checking in, a wonderful solution was created and our stay was saved.

Great Location, Friendly Service

We have been coming to Lake Motel with the New Hamburg Fire District for the past few years and we could not be any happier. They have recently renovated some of the rooms and made improvements to the lower dock which makes the stay even better. With our large group Steve and the rest of his employees have always made were our needs were taken care of. This year we enjoyed the Wine and Craft Beer night and we had a great time. We also took the kids out tubing on the lake and they had a blast. We are already looking forward to coming again next year… who knows maybe another weekend trip this year?

Most Beautiful and Memorable Place

The Lake Motel has the most beautiful setting and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable time . The grounds are kept clean and the beautiful flowers are an additional nice touch. Each room is different and unique and most of all very clean. The location is spectacular and close to all of the shops. The staff especially Andrew and the owners Steve and Jorgina is what makes this place so special. For us it is home away from home. Lake Motel offers free paddle boarding and kayaking which presents a huge savings since all off the other establishments charge a hefty hourly fee. Additional free activities are being offered in the months of July and August. They include free candle making, root beer floats and ice cream. They have many fire pits and barbeque grills. We make reservations twice a year, usually between the months of July and September. The owners Steve and Jorgina and the entire staff will make sure you have a pleasant stay. We are planning on returning to Lake Motel for many years to come.

Outstanding!

We stayed at the lake Motel from 9/10-9/13/2023. Upon arrival we were offered a different room from the one we booked. This one has a garage for our motorcycles, keeping them dry from morning dew and rain. No extra charge! The room was in excellent condition. The staff was very accommodating and kind. It is everything it is advertised as. We will return again in the future. Thank you, Lake Motel Staff for making our vacation a great one.

We couldn’t have been happier with our return trip! Everything was excellent! Everything was clean! Employees were friendly, hardworking and personable! It’s Lake George’s best kept secret! I can’t say enough. We will be back and we can’t wait. “Don’t be sad because it’s over, be happy that it happened!” See you next year!!

Amazing Stay

The Lake Motel provides the most beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The location could not be any better. Shops and Restaurants are within walking distance. We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. We loved our interaction with the staff Andrew, Keith, Edrie and Mack. They are helpful, accommodating and a joy to deal with. Andrew and Keith made our paddleboard and kayak experience fun. The fireplaces were cozy and a nice touch. The owners Steve and Georgina are super nice. Have recommended the Lake Motel to our friends and family. Our stay was in August and we have already made reservations for September.

Beautiful and Comfortable

I can’t say enough about this place! The Lake Motel is beautiful, clean, and cozy. I came for a couple of days for some “me time”. I ended up extending my stay because everything was so great. Location is close to everything. The suite was clean and had very comfortable beds and seating. The view of the lake and mountains was magical. Although I didn’t use the heated outdoor pool or deck, from my spacious balcony, I watched many families enjoy themselves. SO MANY PERKS…too many to list. This is my new “go to” whenever I come to Lake George. Oh yes…the staff are awesome, patient, and kind. You can tell that customer satisfaction is a priority. I greatly appreciated them and my special time away. I highly recommend this establishment

Sunshine and Smiles

Made this trip with my 3 daughters, granddaughter, and grandson! It was a fantastic place. We were all very pleased. Clean and very friendly hospitality. Staff was amazing. Perfectly located so we didn’t have to do any driving. Everything was within walking distance. We had a great time. The grandkids enjoyed to pool and the evening/night fires with toasting marshmallows. I would definitely stay here again if I am to revisit Lake George.

Amazing Place To Stay !!!!!

We have been coming here for years now ! The owners are wonderful people and ALWAYS make our stay incredible! The place is very clean! They always make it fun for the families at night by having something special by the pool….candle making, smores night, root beer floats etc. !! I love that the kayaks, fishing poles and row boots are included in their price ! We always have an amazing time and my children always ask to go back to the LAKE MOTEL! Thank you for a wonderful vacation every year!

Always Very Friendly!

We stayed here for a family vacation. The Lake Motel exceeded our expectations! The staff was amazing, constantly cleaning and available to help anytime we needed it. Always very friendly! The room was very clean and comfortable!! I have zero complaints and can not wait to come back for another stay next year!! Bonus they have nightly family events for the kids; ice cream and s’mores just to name a few. The gentleman that assisted with the boats and kayaks was superb! Always had a great attitude and was always working hard! Thank you to The Lake Motel for an unforgettable family vacation for us!!
