The Lake George region offers every one of these experiences- and
dozens more. As new owners of the Lake Motel in the village of Lake
George, we were amazed to learn that many of our guests were unaware
of the many enjoyable and exciting activities available to them
within a short drive from the hotel. And many of these activities
are inexpensive or even free.
The Lake George Insider is an effort to educate and inform travelers
and potential visitors of the myriad adventures that await visitors
to this easily accessible recreational paradise. We have developed
this site for visitors to the area that contains information on
dozens of activities of all sorts. The activities and places of
businesses highlighted here have been carefully selected based on
our combined 60 years of living and being business owners in Lake
George. None of the places of business have paid to be included on
this site.
By far, the most frequent inquiries we receive relate to
recreational activities and restaurants. Therefore, the online
version of Lake George Insider has been abbreviated to include only
recommendations on these two categories. A more expansive version of
the Insider which includes other categories such as entertainment,
night life, shopping and dozens of other recommendations can be
accessed by our guests in our lobby at our user friendly Touch
Screen Kiosk.
